Sustainability Standards

We do our best to carry our environmental initiatives all the way through to our shipping methods. Though we know there is more we can do, to adhere to our brand transparency, we find it important to share with you what we're actually doing in attempts to reaching a goal for a better planet. Tap each product or category to learn how we've made them as sustainable as possible.

Blog post coming soon to share visual examples and DIY recipes to create these upcycling concepts.

We love to stay on the forefront of green innovations. If you have an idea on how we can do more to improve environmental impact please contact us

EARTH-FIRST PACKAGING

Wildly Free recognizes the global danger our environment is in and we all must do our part even if it isn't perfect, to participate in change for a better Earth.

Our product and shipping is 80%-100% plastic free and comprised of recycled, recyclable, and/or compostable packaging materials.

Our product labels are printed under The Greenguard Gold Certification that ensures the interior products are low in chemical emissions, decreasing indoor pollution levels. This means that our labels and the facility they are printed in have been thoroughly tested and certified to meet stringent emissions standards for over 360 volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemical emissions, and emits minimal gases. Eliminating sources of chemical emissions is the most effective way to reduce indoor air pollution according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Safer for people (babies) and our planet!

REFILL OPTIONS

Our Solstice Serum is available in a 1floz label-less BPA-free (food grade lined) refill pouch. Though our refill pouches are not a 100% zero waste option- they are a much better solution than repurchasing another dropper bottle for your next Solstice Serum refill. The rubber, plastic, and glass dropper combination is more challenging to properly recycle, so reusing your original bottle is a better alternative! Each pouch arrives with a reusable stainless steel funnel for the transfer! Once empty, trim the bottom end of the pouch open to thoroughly clean prior to recycling.
This new refill option is recyclable through most recycling programs. Until a better solution exists, these pouches are our answer to making the beauty industry less trashy. 🗑

Refill Transfer Instructions:

  • Completely rinse out and scrub the inside of your Solstice Serum bottle with a mild soap, hot water. We recommend using a straw scrubbing brush to really get in there if you have one available.
  • The label is waterproof as well so you should be able to keep it in tact.
  • After the bottle is cleaned sanitize with alcohol.
  • Allow the bottle to completely dry before transferring the refill contents into your bottle.
  • Enjoy your Solstice Serum and knowing that you just made a positive impact!
INGREDIENTS

We do our best to sustainably and ethically source our ingredients which include some of our very own grown plants and other wildly, grown ingredients from our nearby women farmer friends.

We leave out ingredients like silicones which don't bio-degrade and end up in our water supply harming biodiversity and our local ecosystems. We only use RSPO certified plant based glycerin which verifies it was sourced from responsible areas. We only use ethically sourced Mica, and all of our suppliers provide a statement that no child labor has been used in sourcing or production.

SHIPPING MATERIALS

We use only eco-friendly packaging options! Our shipments are also 100% carbon neutral! We use a carbon neutral shipping service that offsets emissions from package transport.

The circular Wildly Free logo stickers that may arrive with you packaging are FSC certified which means the paper products that make up our custom printed stickers are sourced from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly and sustainably. The paper is also acid-free and made from cellulose fiber where the active acid pulp is eliminated during processing. The pulp is also lignin- and sulfur-free, meaning that our ink won’t transfer from the stickers and the paper won’t leave behind any of these chemicals when decomposing. The stickers are also printed with more vivid and longer-lasting soy-based which have low levels of VOCs, reducing air pollution during the drying process. Made in the United States.

The bubble wrap you'll find in our shipping boxes is made of 30% recycled content and is 100% recyclable. Made in United States.

Any stuffing we use is also eco-friendly and may include biodegradable (water soluble) packing peanuts or recycled paper shreds kept from packaging received by us!
